Nuchies in Forestville this week

Tonight we will be at Nuchies for Ladies Night. Time to Shop til you drop and finish Christmas shopping. Tomorrow night is a pasta dinner benefit at Nuchies. And Thursday is Men's night out. Very busy at Nuchies this week. We will be there all 3 nights.

On another note, we will be at The Tortoise and the Hare in Bristol on Saturday Dec 19th for Photos with Santa. We have a real live Santa. Professional photos (4x6) are $10.00 plus a donation of either a non-perishable food item or an unwrapped toy.

And finally, with all the craziness, Leo and I are celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversity tomorrow (Dec 16th). Love you honey.

Nuchies in Forestville Next Week

Next week Leo and I will be at Nuchies in Forestville for 3 nights straight. The first night is Dec 15th for Ladies Night. We are one of the vendors that will help you with your holiday shopping. There will be 15 to 20 vendors for Shop 'til you Drop "Black Tuesday". Ladies night out is $20.00 includes tax and tip and 1 comp beer or wine 5:30pm to 8:30pm

The next night we will be there is Dec 16th. This night is a benefit pasta dinner for Lucy Belisle (Laferriere). 5 to 8 pm. Holiday shopping from 22 vendors including GOLD BUYER. Ticket 15.00


On Dec 17th is Men's Night Out. We know guys do not like to shop. And we know they wait til the last minute. Let us help. How about a gift certificate? I can't believe it's been almost a month since I have been here. Time flys when you are busy. We just finished a 2 day pet shoot at Four Paws Only in Canton CT. Mary and Carol are the wonderful owners. We photographed dogs from Pugs to Newfoundlands.

Carol and Mary offer Doggie Day Care, Grooming, Pet sitting and Training classes. We also met one of the trainers, Glenda. It is amazing that they all have 3 dogs each. They are a great group of hard working women.

My poor Build a Bear

Just recently I received a gift from a friend. It was a gift certificate to Build a Bear. I love Build a Bear.

I wanted to get the Gray Wolf.(Leo loves wolves). The wolf is beautiful, but you can't get every animal they come out with. When I received this wonderful and unexpected gift, I was so excited. To the mall. I get the wolf.

I also for a very long time wanted to get the Yankee's uniform. I also thought about getting the other team -Boston--Leo's team. I wanted to be able to dress my bears during the baseball season. Well, I know the season is over for one of the teams but I get the outfits to have. I did dress my wolf in the Yankees outfit and I named him Leo. Do you see where this is going???

Well, Leo asked, kindly, if I could just put the Boston uniform on the wolf because his name is Leo and he would not be caught dead in a Yankee's uniform.

The wolf is now in the Boston uniform. The Yankee uniform is now my GOOD LUCK bear. He is green and has lucky shamrocks on it. It is a Build a Bear I got from New York. GO YANKEES!!!

Anna and Joe's Wedding Shower

The weekend of the Women's Expo was very busy for Leo and I. On both days Leo did the photography for the show and I was there manning the booth. On Sunday, I went to the show then, got the privilege of photographing Anna and Joe's wedding shower. The shower was at the Manor Inn, located in Southington CT.

Anna was nervous and very happy with all of her family and friends there to celebrate the upcoming nuptials. After greeting everyone, a very nice meal was served that everyone enjoyed. Then the presents. Who doesn't like presents?? As you can see on the video there were some pretty great gifts that the bride and groom will certainly enjoy.

Joe, his father and his uncle all stayed at the bar, enjoying the day, wondering when they would ever get done!!!

Women's Expo in Hartford CT this weekend

Back from Vacation

How can I say it?? It was wonderful. The kids are getting big and adorable. Disney world was great with Jacob and Jared. The two little ones did call me grandma. Except Justine or Munchie, really only wanted food. They had so much fun and so did we. Boomer looks good. It was LT's birthday while we were there. We had a fun celebration.

The cruise...way cool. 7days...being waited on...no cleaning...no cooking...beautiful weather (hot, humid at times)....losing at the casino was ok too..swimming with the dolphins in Mexico...snorkeling in Grand Caymen...the beauty of Honduras...more snorkeling..beach..and manatee sightseeing in Belize..my room decorated for my birthday(he thinks of everything)...the wait staff singing happy birthday to me...way cool.

Kelly and Paul chose the rustic banquet facility, The Pavillion on Crystal Lake in Middletown CT. We were here just the week before and we love this location. The waterfront views are so beautiful and the staff here are very nice.

Our couple really impressed everyone with their first dance together. They had taken dancing lessons and it showed. Absolutely beautiful, best first dance I have seen. Dancing with Stars here we come!!!

Kelly and Paul's families and friend all had a great sense of humor, which made for an interesting day.

Morena and Bill's Wedding at Pavillion on Crystal Lake in Middletown CT

The Pavillion on Crystal Lake in Middletown CT is a beautiful rustic waterfront location for a wedding. The grounds are different from anywhere else. The lake front gazebo was the perfect setting for Morena and Bill's wedding vows.

When we arrived, the guys in the wedding party we down at the beach area fishing. Yes, fishing. What better way to relax before the big moment. They were all ready to get everything moving.

The weather perfect, the men waiting (we ladies, like to keep them on their toes), the gazebo already for the bride, and....

Hello Long Time No Hear From

I have no back pain anymore, but I was not prepared for the muscle pain that I have been experiencing since my surgery. It is getting better everyday. I do have to watch how I move, and I still can not lift or twist. I will be starting to post more videos soon.

Baxter Baby Cakes

Leo and I love when the babies come in for a baby cakes. We never know what the reactions will be. Some love the cake, some are not so sure. You get great expressions from the little ones. Enjoy!!

Well, here we go. I will be posting several videos today. I hope you enjoy them, because we enjoy bringing them to you.

It seems like along time since I been here and it has. So much has happen.
On a sad note, Leo's father passed away on the 6th of June. He was in a nursing home for the last 2 years and slowing deteriorating. We did celebrate his 89th birthday with him on the 28th of May. We did see him on that day about an hour before he passed. He is at peace now. FIRST TODAY....this was his fathers toast.

We had a busy week getting the funeral set and getting Leo's 2 boys up from Florida. His sister and 2 nieces also came in from Michigan/Vermont. It is always good to see family, but hopefully we will be able to see them at some other happier occasion next time.

On Saturday June 13th, we had a big picnic for family and friends to come and enjoy the day with us. What a turnout!! It was great. James and LT had a nice group of friends they had not seen. My family and a very good friend came up too.

Now what's next. How about back surgery. I can't wait. In and out same day. Everyday the same old thing, my back is killing me, with pain going down my leg. I spoke with several people who have had the surgery and they said it is wonderful after.

I will be posting serveral weddings and sessions we have done over the last couple of weeks shortly. Keep posted.

Hoping for the sun to come out today. Well on Saturday it was windy but a great day for a wedding. This was the 3rd wedding for this family, that we have photographed. It is always great to see the other couples. We took them over to Bushnell Park in Hartford and went on the carousel. Great images. I know they will enjoy them for years to come. Video soon.

High School Senior Portraits

Today, we took 2 of our High School Seniors to a special place to have some unique images done for them. There are 2 different public high schools in town and they each attend one or the other. One is very tall about 6 feet and the other is alittle over 5 feet. It was great that they knew each and we very friendly. They both looked like models. Very pretty young women. Video will be posted soon.

Another busy day. Trisha brought in her mother's dog for a portrait. She will be getting it done without her mother knowing (sneaky). This is for her mother's day present. Like most of us, we love our animals as much as our children and they are part of the family. So what better way to make mom smile than a beautiful portrait of her pet.

Tuesday and still hot outside. By the end of the week the weather soon be normal, well for New England. Busy getting our high school seniors promotions ready. We have The Center Stage Dance by Jessica in Burlington on Saturday. I really enjoy this adventure. The costumes are so cute and the girls are adorable. Jessica and her sister Heather, are wonderful to work with. They make our job easier. We love them.

A Beautfiul Weekend

What a beautiful weekend. I can't believe how hot it got. Were we in Florida??? Guess not. On Saturday we took a break from it all. Leo and I both needed a little breather. We went to the Natuage River State Park. It was so beautiful there I did not want to leave. On Sunday, we had a baptimal and Confirmation parties to attend. Always good to see family.

I have to get a package out for our youngest grandchild who turned 1. Justin is the youngest of 4 boys. I can't wait to see them when we travel to Florida in August. Jacob is 10, Jared is 7, Jayden is 2 and then little Justin is 1.

The Burke family came to finish the first year club. What is the first year club?? Well, it documents baby's first year. When you are done, you actually have a book with images from birth to their first birthday. You can do maternity pictures to start or just after they are born or when they turn 1 month. Then every 3 months we do a session. You receive a baby book at the end of the year. It truly documents baby's first year. For more information call or email.

I love when a new baby comes to our studio. It is such a privilege for us to photograph them. We also enjoy seeing their parents again. This couple have been here before with their first child. We also photographed their wedding. They now have 2 beautiful children, one of each. And they are keeping them busy.

Does anyone know what tomorrow is??? Big day right... It is OPENING DAY FISHING!!! Yeah.

Every year at this time, Leo and a couple of his friends get up at 300AM (I need my beauty sleep) then travel about an hour from home, unpack their stuff for the day, and get ready for 600AM casting. After an hour or so, they make a breakfast for an army, eat, take nap and then continue to fish. The location that they fish at is beautiful. According to Leo, the only way he will not go fishing on this day is when he is dead. Hopefully, that will not be in the near future. When Leo gets home he cleans up everything and crushes on the couch. Then on Sunday he tried to do somemore fishing.

I, on the other hand will sleep a little late (maybe), then do so shopping, then scrapbook. Something I have looked forward to. No one to bother me. Yeah.

Today is Tuesday and that means Nuchies in Forestville for girl's night out. We will be there with our images. Hope to see you there.

The Urrunaga family what can I say. They are so nice. We meet them when they were pregnant with their first son and we have seen then ever since. They are great parents to the now 3 beautiful boys. I love the why all the boys names begin with J. My daughter did the same thing. All of her boys (4) are J names.

We always look forward to see this family. We do enjoy watching the boys grow up.

The Urrunaga Family

Monday after Easter. It was nice to relax for a change. On Saturday night, Leo and I visited our grandson with his Easter basket. He seemed to enjoy what was in it. We colored eggs with him, his dad Chris, and his other grandmom, Pauline. We had a great time. Peyton was so cute. Peyton is 4years old and has a great imagination.

On Easter, we were invited to a friends for dinner. Their family is warm, fun and we felt like family by the time we left. We did hear from our Florida kids during the course of the day. It is nothing like being together, I miss the Florida grandkids.

Another busy week ahead. We will be launching a new photography product, I think many women will love.

Next month we will be photographing dancers for Center Stage Dance by Jessie. A couple of dancers came by to have their images done already. We hope you enjoy them as much as we had fun doing them. The girls are beautiful and fun to work with.

We can have fun with babies, but we do have fun with family groups too. We do go to other locations for family portraits. This family wanted pictures because they hadn't done a family group in years.

A family portrait is so important. Maybe we just added to the family, or we lost someone. When we look back, we all wish we had done one at one time or another. It is our record, to show us our wonderful family.

I love babies and cake. After Ace got use to the cake and everyone around, he did not care. He went for it. What a great mess. What wonderful smiles. And mom and dad got dirty with cake too. Yeah!!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone. A beautiful day it is. Sunny, bright, spring around the corner. A busy week for us.

Tonight we have Nuchies, a girl's night out. We will be there introducing our UnderCover Angels to everyone. What a fun couple

The weather in New England is always changing. Yesterday for example, I looked out the window and it was raining, then sleeting, then snowing. A short time later same thing. And today sunshine. As they say, This is New England, if you do not like the weather, just close your eyes and wait a minute and it will change.

Next Tuesday, St Patrick's Day, we will be at Nuchie's in Forestville, for a girl's night out party. We will have a table setup with our babies, families and our UCA (UnderCover Angels). See you there.

Wow, what a great photo session we had today! We were priviledged to meet Jacoby...What a beautiful baby! He's only 6 days old. I gotta say that Liz and I have the best job in the world! We've photographed Jacoby's 2 brothers since before they were born. It was so good to see everyone today.

Well, it's Tuesday and we have at least 6 inches if not more of snow. It seems like Newport got more. The seminar was very good and we got to sit after the seminar with the speakers for a one on one. Today, we are photographing a new born baby, only one week. This is baby 3 for this couple. All boys so far. Leo has his mentor later today. I have to catch up on other projects.

Saturday already. Well, let's see. One engagment session going on right now and a big family shoot later day in Hartford. Then off to Newport, Rhode Island on Sunday for a seminar on Monday. We are staying overnight Sunday and doing some SHOPPING (Yeah)at an outlet store. Always need to shop once in awhile(every week). Then we will be back home to try and catch up (this is never ending).
